"One, Two, Three-and-Four. Perform!"

In mid-February, members of the Visual and Performing Arts will be demonstrating their talent in the Franklin Pierce Warehouse. All members of the FPU community are invited to watch, but what can we expect from this particular performance? How will it be different from last year's, or the year before that? "It's too early to tell what will be different this year," said dance instructor Sally Bomber.

Alternative Spring Break will support Hurricane Ike relief in Texas

The 2009 Alternative Spring Break will take place on the Texas Gulf Coast to aid in Hurricane Ike relief. Assistant Dean of Student Involvement, Scott Ansevin-Allen, and Director of Judicial Affairs, William Sweet, along with student trip leaders seniors Amanda Girard, Allie Reck, and Jacki Alessio are planning their trip through Community Collaborations International, a nonprofit organization that places volunteers to destinations throughout the country who are in need of disaster relief.

Humane society makes a comeback

After a ten year hiatus due to disappointment among student volunteers, the Monadnock Humane Society is back at Franklin Pierce and has a whole new approach to their volunteer program. According to Stephanie Manning, a Franklin Pierce student volunteer, many students were disappointed with lack of interaction with the animals.

Success rings true for men's soccer team

The 2007 Franklin Pierce men's soccer national champions were honored on Saturday September 20, for their accomplishments last season. The ring ceremony presented at Pierce, recognized the coaches, athletes and trainer who made history, becoming the first men's soccer team in program history to win a national title.

SIFE becomes a growing enterprise

Over 30 students have joined SIFE, as this year's team has already planned new projects in hopes of defending their Regional Championship. SIFE, which stands for Students in Free Enterprise, is a business group on campus who participate in projects that have a positive impact on society.

Study Abroad in January

Franklin Pierce students have the opportunity to travel abroad over winter break. A group of 15 students will be traveling to Vienna, Austria and Prague, Czech Republic from January 5 to the 15. The cost is approximately $2,500, and includes transportation provided by Franklin Pierce University to and from the airport, airfare, luggage costs, accommodations, and tourist excursions.
